The Dorking & District Preservation Society

ImageThe Dorking & District Preservation Society is the leading amenity society in southern Mole Valley. It covers Dorking and its surrounding villages, from Mickleham and Headley in the north, east to Buckland, west to Abinger and south to the boundary between Surrey and Sussex.

We care for both the rural and the built environment, and there are members of our council responsible for monitoring the countryside, footpaths, highways and public planning.

The Dorking Museum and Heritage Centre and the Dorking & District Local History Group are also divisions of the Society.

We are registered with Civic Trust and are members of the Campaign for the Protection of Rural England.

We seek to preserve and record the best of the old, and to encourage the best of the new
